Dr. Richard William is the Founder and Director of History Makers International, President of History Makers University, and a professor at Florida Christian University. He is an international revivalist, teacher, author and apostolic leader with more than four decades of frontline ministry across over forty nations.
Early Life and Calling
Richard William was born and raised in Singapore. At the age of twelve, he had a supernatural encounter with Jesus Christ and dedicated his life to following Him. At the age of sixteen, he received a distinct call to full-time ministry and missions, and he began his training shortly thereafter. He started as a missionary in Hong Kong and the People's Republic of China before the Lord opened the doors for biblical studies in the United States.
Education
Richard William received his Associate in Theology from Christ for the Nations Institute, his Bachelor in Biblical Studies from Tyndale Theological Seminary, his Master of Arts in Missiology from Regent University, and his Doctor of Divinity from Harvest Bible University (2013). He completed his Doctor of Ministry at Harvest Bible University with a dissertation titled "A Biblical Framework for Inner Restoration and Soul Prosperity Through the Atonement of Christ." He was listed in Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities for outstanding leadership qualities in 1992.
Ministry and Missions
From 1992 to 1994, Richard William worked closely with Dr. Howard Foltz, Professor of Global Evangelism at Regent University, developing mission strategies to reach unreached people groups around the world.
After completing his graduate studies at Regent University, he and his wife, Debbie, a missionary to Jamaica and China, went to minister in the Muslim nation of Malaysia in Southeast Asia. In Malaysia, he served as the Dean of Students at a Bible college and as a Missions Pastor at a local church, while Debbie taught at a Muslim college. He ministered in churches and remote villages throughout Malaysia.
In 1998, Richard William and his wife pioneered History Makers International Church in Singapore, a global ministry that leads youth revivals, crusades, and leadership conferences in over forty countries worldwide.
During his more than forty years of ministry, God has led him to very unusual locations, terrorist camps, closed communist and Muslim nations, and unreached regions across the world, to spread the fire of God.
Current
In 2012, Richard William and his family were called to relocate to the United States to establish a base from which to spread the fire and glory of God to the nations of this region and the world. He currently lives in Tampa, Florida, with his wife and two daughters, Destiny and Mikayla. He teaches his global congregation online each Saturday and trains emerging leaders across the nations through History Makers University's online platform. He continues to travel and minister internationally.
